I was born in 1985, in South Korea. When I was born, my parents named me Jin Eun, and welcomed me into their family. I have wonderful parents, who are cram school teachers, and my brother, who is one year older. My family was nice to me because my family was more harmonious than any other families, although we did not have enough money as a rich family.
I started primary school when I was 8. I met my lovely friends, Jae-ryun and Su-na, thus I leant how I could treat people and grow up to social person. I am keeping contact with them until now. I also met good teacher, Mrs. Kim, who gave me enormous love with a whip.
In 2004, I graduated from high school, Chun-nam Girls’ high school. At the same time, I had to leave from the school and part with my friends leaving the memories about my friends. This year, I had a boyfriend and it was a first time to get a boyfriend. Then now, we have fallen in love since in 2004. Another big event was being published my grandfather’s essay with my stories, in other words, he became an author. I preciously keep the book as my other self. Becoming 20 years old was also big event because I was out of the teenager. I received necklace and ring with gold for gifts from my parents.
Now I am in here in New Zealand to study English. I think it is a motivation of my life to design my way. After going back to Korea, I hope to improve my English skills and also I hope to get a good job.

Morning Diane, great posting, very honest and heartfelt. It is always very interesting for me to find out thing both about my students personally, and about their cultures. For example; starting primary school at the age of 8 seems very old to us, because we start when we are 5...
Congratulations on the boyfriend too ;)
Hoping that the corrections that we all made in class are being included - right?
Hey Diane, where is your 'zoos' post???
